We just had our latest training on January 24, 2009. We are in the process of planning the next training but don't let that stop you from sending in your application NOW! Print, fill out, and mail the Mentor Application or the Volunteer and Board Application below to get started now. Or call 502-499-4427 to discuss becoming a mentor, board member, or volunteer!

The training usually lasts 3 hours and consists of a history of LYG, discussion of the LYG mission, guidelines and requirements for mentors and volunteers, and legal and ethical issues related to being a mentor or volunteer. The training course is designed to help future mentors and volunteers understand the role of mentoring and involves discussion of ways to be an effective and positive influence on our youth.
